Meet the Founder

Ashley Melton

Founder & Executive Director of Parenting Pathways

Parenting Pathways was created from Ashley’s passion for helping families feel supported, connected, and understood. As a strong advocate for mental health awareness, particularly among younger generations, she has seen firsthand how childhood experiences and unaddressed emotional struggles can continue impacting individuals well into adulthood.

Ashley founded Parenting Pathways with the belief that supporting parents and strengthening family environments can create lasting positive change for children, families, and entire communities. Her mission is to help break cycles of trauma by providing families with access to education, support, and meaningful community connections.

A graduate of Grand Valley State University, Ashley is passionate about creating safe and supportive spaces where parents feel empowered rather than judged. Through workshops, community initiatives, and family-centered programming, she hopes to encourage healthier conversations around parenting, emotional well-being, and generational healing.

As Parenting Pathways continues to grow, Ashley remains committed to building a community where families feel seen, supported, and never alone in their journey.
